Mealime's notice says it "will be discontinued as of October 21, 2026." It is for people leaving Mealime who need two things: (1) importing a recipe from a link, so your Mealime favorites and web recipes come along, and (2) one combined grocery list built from the week's meals. Prices and features come from each company's own pages and app-store listings, read October 7, 2026. Some planners suit some people better than Grocerplan, and we say which. Meals Hub
•
Price and platforms: free, inside the Albertsons Companies store apps and websites (13 on Mealime's notice, including Safeway, Vons and Jewel-Osco), with a store account.
•
Import from a link: in December 2025, Albertsons Companies said its website shopping assistant can "import an online recipe or image and add ingredients to cart," not that it saves the recipe to a plan.
•
One grocery list: Mealime says you can make meal plans and shopping lists without shopping at those stores.
•
Sending the list to a store: the store you sign in to, whose cart the assistant fills with a week's de-duplicated ingredients.
•
Best for: Albertsons Companies shoppers who want Mealime's recipes, all of which continue there.
•
Drawback: it isn't a standalone app, and certain preferences and settings must be set up again. More in Mealime vs Meals Hub. Plan to Eat
•
Price and platforms: $5.95 a month or $49 a year after a 14-day free trial, with no free plan. iPhone, Android and the web.

•
Import from a link: yes, through its built-in browser: open the recipe page in Paprika and tap a button.

•
Sending the list to a store: not stated on its site.
•
Best for: a pay-once recipe box.
•
Drawback: paying per platform adds up, and Paprika says "premium features will require a subscription" after the Paprika 4 beta.

•
Drawback: the plans it generates for your health goals, serving adjustments and unlimited saved plans need Samsung Food+.

What Grocerplan does differently
Grocerplan plans seven dinners from its own recipes. Each person keeps their own diet, allergens and dislikes (10 diets plus classic, 9 allergens), and every meal scales from 1 to 50 servings. Recipes you import can be added to your plan by hand (the planner itself picks from our recipes), and everything planned lands on one list. Our dinners average an estimated $2.76 a serving and 28 g of protein, and 39 of the 78 take 30 minutes or less; browse them in the dinner collection. The limits, plainly:
•
137 recipes is a small catalog, and 78 of them are dinners.
•
Keto, low-carb, paleo, Whole30 and Mediterranean have few recipes so far, so plans for those diets mix in other dinners, and the plan says so.
•
It is web only: no App Store or Google Play app.
•
Instacart is the only store handoff on the web today, in the United States only; otherwise, print the list.
•
There is no export button yet.
•
We can't check recipes you import for allergens; you confirm them yourself.
Grocerplan is not affiliated with Mealime, Albertsons Companies, Plan to Eat, Paprika, Samsung, Prepear, Eat This Much, Walmart, Amazon, Apple, Google or Microsoft; their names are trademarks of their owners. Instacart® is a registered trademark of Maplebear Inc.
